Privacy and safety
Local-first means more control—and more responsibility.
FollowUp Desk does not send your working database to BeginThings. It stores app data inside the browser profile where you open it.
What stays local
Leads, settings and edited templates are stored in that browser’s local storage. There is no BeginThings login, cloud database, automatic sync, AI service, CRM connection or bank connection.
What leaves the desk
When you select Open WhatsApp, the app creates a normal wa.me link containing the phone number and message you reviewed. WhatsApp then handles that link under its own terms and privacy practices.
Backups are your responsibility
Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing profiles or devices, moving or deleting files, or running cleanup software can remove local data. Local records and exported CSV or JSON backups are plaintext, not encrypted; protect your device and backup files and store them safely.
Consent still matters
You are responsible for having a lawful reason to store each contact, obtaining any required consent, respecting opt-outs, checking every message, and following applicable laws and platform rules.
No business-outcome promise: FollowUp Desk is an organisational utility. It does not guarantee replies, appointments, conversions, sales, payments or revenue. Pipeline and Won values are amounts you enter manually, not verified accounting records.

Does FollowUp Desk work without internet?
The desk itself can load from its local HTML file without an internet connection. Opening WhatsApp requires connectivity and an available WhatsApp app or web session.
Does it send WhatsApp messages automatically?
No. It never reads chats, sends messages, checks delivery, or marks a message as sent. It prepares a normal WhatsApp link. You review the recipient and text inside WhatsApp and decide whether to send.
Is there any AI, API, login, cloud or subscription?
No. FollowUp Desk has no AI feature, connected API, account system, cloud database or recurring subscription. It is a local browser utility sold for a one-time ₹499 price including GST.
Can my team share one copy?
The included licence is for one buyer using the product on devices they personally control. A business that needs more than one person to use it needs a separate licence for each user unless BeginThings agrees otherwise in writing. There is no shared team workspace or sync.
What browsers are supported?
Use a current desktop browser that allows local files and browser storage. Browser and WhatsApp behavior can change independently, so compatibility with every browser, operating system or future version is not promised.
How do I move my data to another device?
Create a JSON backup from Settings & backup, copy that file securely to the other device, open FollowUp Desk there, and restore it. Restoring replaces the desk’s current local leads, settings and templates.
What are the refund terms?
