Free writing tools
Count, check, rewrite and polish your writing in the browser. Word counts, readability, tone, AI drafting and Indian-language typing, with no account.
Good writing tools stay out of the way: paste your text, get an answer, keep going. The tools here cover the jobs writers, students and marketers do every day. Check a word limit. See whether a paragraph reads at the level your audience expects. Fix a heading’s capitalisation. Get a first draft or a summary. Type Hindi with an English keyboard.
Most of them run entirely in your browser, including the AI writer, summarizer and tone analyzer, so unpublished drafts and client copy stay on your device. The transliteration tool is the exception: it sends your text to Google Input Tools to convert it, and says so on the page.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free word counter with reading time?
Yes. The word counter shows words, characters with and without spaces, sentences, paragraphs and estimated reading time as you type.
What is a good readability score?
For general web copy, aim for a Flesch reading ease of 60 or above, which is roughly plain English for a 13–15 year old reader. Technical and legal writing usually scores lower.
Are my drafts stored?
No. Text stays in your browser tab. Only the Indian-language transliteration tool sends text to Google’s service to convert it.
Can I type in Hindi with an English keyboard?
Yes. Use the transliteration tool: type “namaste” and it becomes “नमस्ते”. It supports several Indian languages.
