Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of beginthings.com and the products listed on it (the "Service"), operated by Sourav Mahapatra ("BeginThings", "we", "us"). By accessing the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The 5 product categories

BeginThings offers five distinct categories of products, each with its own terms layered on top of these general Terms:

Category 1: Free Tools

Browser-based utilities at /free-tools/ such as QR Creator, Invoice Generator, UPI QR, calculators, and converters. No account, no signup, no email collection. Provided as-is, free for personal or commercial use. We make no warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for purpose. Results should be verified before relying on them for legal, financial, or operational decisions.

Category 2: Account Features

Some products use an account for authentication, saving, account recovery, cross-device sync, or product access. Depending on the product, sign-in may use Google Identity Services or a verified email-link flow. Google sign-in supplies only the basic profile shown during authentication; BeginThings does not request Google Drive, Calendar or Gmail scopes. The applicable trial and subscription terms remain those shown for the product.

Category 3: Subscriptions (Free Trial, then Recurring Payment)

BeginRooms is billed on a recurring basis after an optional 11-day free trial that requires no payment method and carries no obligation. You are never charged during the trial, and the trial does not convert automatically. FormulaMapper's account-linked build is in release verification, so its downloads, new trials and new subscriptions are paused.

Plans and prices. After the BeginRooms trial you may choose Monthly (INR 149), Quarterly (INR 399), 6-Monthly (INR 649), or Annual (INR 1,111). The annual plan is the best-value limited-time launch offer. FormulaMapper's planned terms are an 11-day trial followed by INR 799 per month, but no FormulaMapper payment is currently accepted. All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees as checkout totals, and the amount applied is always the one shown at checkout.

Recurring billing and auto-renewal. When you subscribe to an available product you authorise a recurring payment mandate through Razorpay and are charged for the first period immediately. The subscription renews automatically at the end of the billing period you selected until you cancel. A BeginRooms subscription opened on the INR 1,111 annual launch plan renews at INR 1,111 per year while that subscription remains active. Any future price change requires advance notice and any consent or mandate update required by law and the payment network.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account or by emailing sourav@beginthings.com. Cancelling stops all future renewals. Your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which it ends. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Where a product binds a licence to a device (for example the FormulaMapper Excel add-in), that device binding is described where the product is offered.

Category 4: Paid Digital Products

One-time-purchase digital downloads include downloadable software such as FollowUp Desk, templates, toolkits, workbooks, and guides. A paid download is fulfilled only after our server verifies Razorpay payment capture and sends a secure delivery link or records access for the checkout email; a checkout page, created order, pending status, authorisation, callback, or browser redirect is not delivery. Files may be ZIP, HTML, PDF, XLSX, DOCX, or similar. Each licence is single-user, non-resale, and non-transferable. Category 5: Paid Services

Done-for-you services include landing-page audits, conversion sprints, workspace setup, and custom development. Scope, deliverables, revision limits, and target timeline are defined on the relevant service page or a separate written engagement. A service begins when we tell you in writing that work has commenced or begin the review, research, drafting, production, or implementation work, whichever happens first. Target timelines begin only after payment capture and complete intake. Results depend on circumstances outside our control and are not guaranteed.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from FormulaMapper or any paid product beyond what is permitted under your jurisdiction's fair-use law.
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense paid products without our written consent.
Probe, scan, or stress-test the Service or attempt to bypass authentication or licensing.
Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or extract content at scale.
Upload or process content that is unlawful, infringing, or contains malware.

3. Intellectual property

BeginThings owns all code, design, branding, copy, and product assets unless otherwise noted. Free tools are free to use, but the underlying code remains our property. Paid products are licensed to the purchaser under a single-user, non-resale, non-transferable license. User-generated content (Workspace 3D files you create, data you enter into free tools) remains your property; we claim no ownership of it.

Custom service deliverables. After full payment and delivery of a Conversion Fix Sprint or another written custom-work scope, the buyer receives a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive right to use, modify, reproduce, and deploy the custom copy and front-end changes created specifically for the purchased business and page. The buyer keeps ownership of its pre-existing content, data, branding, and approved assets. Begin Things retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, reusable components, generic templates, tools, know-how, and any material expressly identified as pre-existing; third-party themes, plugins, fonts, media, and software remain subject to their own licences. This service-specific licence does not permit resale of BeginThings templates or reusable product assets as standalone products.

4. User content, storage, and sync

User-generated content remains yours. The free browser tools process their working files locally unless a specific tool clearly says it needs a network service. BeginRooms keeps a local browser copy and, for signed-in accounts, transmits saved room and board data over HTTPS to the account service for access and cross-device sync. FormulaMapper keeps working state locally but exchanges the minimum account, machine, trial and entitlement identifiers required by the licensing service. Account content is access-controlled but is not end-to-end encrypted, so you remain responsible for keeping separate backups and for avoiding secrets that require client-only encryption.

5. Payment, pricing, and taxes

Who you are contracting with. Paid services on this site are supplied by Begin Things, a sole proprietorship of Sourav Mahapatra, registered under the Goods and Services Tax Act with GSTIN 09CBRPM4938H1ZZ, principal place of business Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India. You can verify this GSTIN on the government portal at services.gst.gov.in.

Displayed prices are checkout totals. All prices displayed on this website are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax at the applicable rate. The amount you see is the amount charged to your card, UPI or netbanking account. Nothing is added at checkout. Where the law requires it, the tax component is shown separately on your invoice rather than on the price label.

Transaction document. For eligible Indian transactions, the billing details validated at checkout are used to issue the applicable tax document to the checkout email. Enter your GSTIN at checkout if it should appear on that document; post-payment GSTIN amendment is not currently supported. The document records the classification and CGST, SGST or IGST treatment applied to that transaction.

Place of supply. For customers in India, the place of supply is your location as declared by you. Supplies within Uttar Pradesh attract CGST and SGST; supplies to other states attract IGST. You are responsible for the accuracy of the state and GSTIN details you give us.

Customers outside India. Tax treatment depends on the validated billing and place-of-supply details and on whether the legal conditions for an export of services are met. Checkout does not automatically assume zero rating. The transaction document reflects the treatment applied. You remain responsible for any VAT, sales tax, withholding tax or other levy due in your own country, and for bank or currency-conversion charges.

Payment processing. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay, which accepts UPI, credit and debit cards, netbanking and wallets; international cards are supported where enabled. We do not see or store your card or bank-account details. Razorpay processes the transaction; Begin Things remains the merchant responsible for its own fulfilment and any remedy required by this policy or applicable law.

Payment status and fulfilment. A created, pending, failed, authorised, callback-only, or browser-redirected order is not a captured payment, delivery, or entitlement. We treat a payment as paid only after Razorpay capture is verified by our server. For downloads, delivery occurs when a secure link or licensed access is sent or recorded for the checkout email; for subscriptions, when the paid entitlement is actually activated; and for services, according to the stated scope after complete intake. If a checkout status is unclear, contact us with the order ID before attempting another payment.

Your checkout information. You are responsible for providing a reachable checkout email and accurate billing information. We use the information validated for the transaction to send delivery, support, and any applicable transaction document. An incorrectly entered email does not make a completed delivery refundable, but we will reissue an eligible digital delivery after verifying the order.

Subscriptions. BeginRooms Pro may start with an 11-day free trial. No payment method is required for that trial, and access pauses at trial end unless you subscribe. Paid BeginRooms subscriptions renew each selected billing period until cancelled. FormulaMapper downloads, new trial starts and subscriptions are paused; its planned terms do not become an available offer until the compatible account-linked build passes release verification.

Price changes. Prices may change with reasonable notice. If the GST rate applicable to our services changes, the tax-inclusive price may be adjusted to reflect it. Existing license keys are not invalidated by price changes.

Free tools. The 48 free browser tools carry no charge and therefore no tax. They remain free.

Service classification. The tax document uses the product or service classification and tax treatment configured for the transaction after the applicable billing and place-of-supply details are validated. The tax document, rather than a marketing-page summary, is the authoritative record of the classification applied.

What your invoice will show. The tax document includes the seller and buyer details supplied for the transaction, the unique invoice number and date, place of supply where applicable, a description and classification of the product or service, taxable value, and the applicable tax rate and split. Contact us promptly if the billing details you supplied need correction; statutory records are retained for the required period.

6. Refunds

Except for the remedies in the Refund Policy and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, all sales are final. We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds after a digital product is delivered or accessed, a subscription period has started, or paid service work has begun. The policy explains the limited remedies for verified duplicate charges, non-delivery, material defects or mismatch, and any required statutory remedy.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular business objective. Free tools and informational content do not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, securities, or professional advice. See the Disclaimer for the full statement.

No business-outcome responsibility. Begin Things, its proprietor Sourav Mahapatra, and their suppliers do not promise or guarantee sales, revenue, profit, leads, conversions, customer payment, rankings, advertising performance, cost savings, productivity, funding, compliance outcome, or any other business result. You decide whether and how to use any site, tool, download, service, recommendation, output, or third-party link. You are responsible for independent review, implementation, lawful use, contracts, communications, backups, security, and decisions based on it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Begin Things, its proprietor Sourav Mahapatra, and their suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, including lost revenue, profits, sales, opportunity, goodwill, data, reputation, or business interruption, or for actions or decisions taken using the Service. Their total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid Begin Things for the affected product or service in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms excludes a consumer right, liability, or obligation to supply as described that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or legal requirement. You may stop using the Service at any time; for Cat 2 disconnect by revoking Google access at myaccount.google.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in the Refund Policy.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any consumer forum, authority, or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes arising out of or relating to the Service are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.
