Why is the first run slow?

The first time, your browser downloads the AI model from a public model host (Hugging Face via jsDelivr). After that it is cached and starts much faster.

Does it work on phones?

Yes, in a modern mobile browser, though large inputs run slower than on a laptop.

What it is good at, and what it is not

This tool finds the passage in your text that best answers your question and pulls the answer out of it. It works best for factual questions whose answer is written in the document: dates, amounts, names, notice periods, deadlines. It does not reason across many pages or write new opinions, and it only knows what you pasted in.

Example questions that work well

From a rental agreement: "What is the notice period?" or "How much is the security deposit?"
From a freelance contract: "When is the final payment due?" or "Who owns the source files?"
From a policy page: "How many days do I have to request a refund?"
From meeting notes: "Who is responsible for the vendor quote?"

Phrase questions the way the document would. If a contract says "termination", ask about termination rather than "quitting".

Getting text out of PDFs and photos

The tool reads plain text. For a digital PDF, select the text and paste it in. For a scanned PDF or a photo of a printed page, first extract the text with the OCR image to text tool, then paste the result here. For long documents, paste only the relevant section; shorter context gives faster, more precise answers.
