Some portals, especially state scholarship, recruitment and certificate verification sites, allow only 100 KB per PDF. Getting a photo of a certificate into a PDF that small by hand is fiddly. This page does it in one step: add the image, keep the 100 KB target and download.
It compresses each image to share the budget, builds the PDF, measures it and retries with a smaller budget if needed. One or two pages come out readable; more pages will look softer, so upload documents separately if the portal has more than one field.
How to use it
- Add images. Drop one or more JPG, PNG or WebP images, or tap to choose.
- Arrange and choose options. Reorder with the arrows, pick A4 or Fit to image and keep the 100 KB limit.
- Create and download. Press Create PDF, check the size, then download.
Getting under 100 KB with readable text
- One document per PDF where possible.
- Crop out everything but the page.
- Good light, no shadow. Clean backgrounds compress far better.
- If you already have a PDF, use compress PDF to 100 KB. For a photo upload instead of PDF, use compress image to 50 KB.
Why 100 KB PDFs look softer
A PDF of one A4 page at 100 KB has roughly the same data budget as a medium-quality phone thumbnail. The tool spends it on resolution where it can, so text edges stay legible, but fine print and colour photos will lose detail.
How the converter works
Each image is read in your browser, drawn onto a canvas with a white background (so transparent PNGs do not turn black) and stored as a JPEG inside the PDF. With A4 the image is scaled to fit inside a 10 mm margin and centred, in portrait or landscape to match the photo. With Fit to image the page takes the image's own proportions. When a size limit is set, the budget is shared across pages, and the PDF is measured and rebuilt with a tighter budget until it fits.
Troubleshooting
- Sideways photos? Rotate them in your gallery first, or rotate pages afterwards in PDF tools.
- HEIC photos from iPhone? Share them as JPG (iPhone Settings, Camera, Formats, Most Compatible), then add them.
- Too many pages for the limit? Split into two PDFs or remove duplicates.
Typical uses
Single certificates for scholarship portals, caste or domicile certificates for state recruitment, and signed self-declarations. If a field allows only one page, use one image; if your document has a front and back, place both photos side by side in one image first, or use two pages and accept slightly softer text.
Private by design
There is no upload step and no account. The page loads the tool, and your browser does the work on your own device. That is why it is fast on good connections and still works if the network drops after the page has loaded. We don't see your files, photos, numbers or IDs, and we don't ask for your email.
