Free invoice & GST tools

Everything a freelancer or small shop needs to bill and get paid: GST invoices, the GST maths, niche invoice templates, UPI QR codes and payment links.

Billing software is worth it once you send dozens of invoices a month. Before that, most freelancers and small businesses in India just need a correct invoice, the right GST split and an easy way for the client to pay. These tools do exactly that, free and without an account. Your figures and client details stay in your browser.

Start with the GST invoice generator if you are registered. It handles GSTIN, HSN/SAC, CGST + SGST or IGST, and the amount in words. If you only know the GST-inclusive price, work out the taxable value with the GST calculator first. Then add a UPI QR or payment link so the client can pay from their phone in seconds.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a GST invoice without software?

Yes. A GST tax invoice only needs the fields in Rule 46 of the CGST Rules, laid out clearly. The generator here covers those fields and makes a PDF. You need the government IRP only if your turnover requires e-invoicing (currently above ₹5 crore).

Do I need GST registration as a freelancer?

It is mandatory once your service turnover crosses ₹20 lakh in a financial year (₹10 lakh in special category states), or if you supply certain notified services. Below that you can invoice without GST.

Which GST rate do freelancers charge?

Most professional, design, IT and marketing services are 18%. Exports of services are zero-rated if you file a Letter of Undertaking.

Are my invoices saved?

No. You download the PDF and keep it. The invoice tool remembers a short list of recent invoice numbers in this browser only.
